Willy T II: Beyond the Reef Dive Site
The Willy T II shipwreck is a unique underwater attraction in the British Virgin Islands, created by Beyond the Reef. Sunk in Key Bay, off Peter Island, in 2019, the wreck honours the original Willy T's years as one of the region's best-loved floating bars, and is central to an underwater art exhibit and artificial coral reef complete with pirate sculptures for photo opportunities.
The wreck sits on a sandy seabed at a maximum depth of around 67 feet (20.5 metres), with her masts reaching up to about 38 feet (11.5 metres). Divers can penetrate the wreck, walk the plank, and even "order a drink" at the on-deck bar -- all while schools of yellowtail snapper, bar jacks and creole wrasse move through the structure, and stingrays, porgies and sand divers patrol the sand below.
